Hope at Work

The Hope at Work program is much more than a job.

The Hope at Work program regularly works with people experiencing these common struggles:

  • Getting back into the workforce after a long break
  • Have no work experience
  • Are gaining stability in life
  • Suffer from depression and anxiety
  • Single parenting
  • Are a victim of domestic violence
  • Live in transitional housing
  • Desire to be independent of State and Federal resources
  • Have a criminal background or are on probation
  • Suffer from addiction issues – 90 days of sobriety is required before entering the program

Participants in the Hope at Work program are employed full-time in the thrift store and participate in each aspect of the training.

Budget Coaching

Participants receive one-on-one budget coaching to create a customized budget and money-tracking system. We provide a Matched Savings Program, meaning that the HOPE Center will match the savings of those in the program towards life-stabilizing financial expenses/goals, such as paying off fines, apartment deposits, medical treatments, etc.

Case Management

Weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss personal goals, coaching for resume and cover letters, and personality/design assessment using The Pathmaker to help you find your strengths.

Celebrate Recovery

A faith-based 12-step recovery program applicable to everyone! It addresses hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Just to name a few: anger, anxiety, abuse, co-dependence, depression, fear, grief, issues with kids, issues with parents, issues with people, addiction the list goes on and on. Visit Website

Support Coaches

One-on-one weekly meetings with a mentor to discuss personal goals. This is an onsite meeting during the scheduled work shift.

Employment Training

Participants work as full-time employees at the HOPE Center Thrift Store. They train in multiple areas and pass multiple training certifications, receiving feedback from managers on their employment strengths for a well-rounded resume.

Supplemental Education

Receive GED tutoring, if needed, with one-on-one tutors.
